Water – Strength – Fruitfulness , Sermon on Exodus Chapter 17 | sermon by Father. Mungamuri Devadasu | Bible Mission

Prayer: O God, full of all divine attributes! God of the believers in the world, God of the beloved ones among us! God of the saints in heaven! God of the holy angels who are even greater than them! We praise You. You are the one who accomplishes everything. Amen.

1. The Enemy’s Army: People of prayer are on the mountaintop. The enemy armies are below. So, who is greater? Those on top are greater, and those below are lesser, those who are above have the advantage over those below.

If we climb the mountain of prayer, all others are beneath us. Why? Because our enemies are below, and we are above. Those who fall are below. So those above are greater. Devout ones—those who are devoted to prayer—are the ones above. Hence, they are the ones who win victory.

2. The Church of God Has Two Groups

  1. Some are like Moses, who remain in prayer.
  2. Others are like Joshua, who are engaged in service. These must fight enemies and destroy the works of the enemy.

There is a prayer gathering on the mountain, and below, there is proclamation, meaning gospel proclamation. What is the strength of those below? — “There are people above praying for us.” That is their power. Those who are above (praying) are the strength of those below; and those below are the fruit of those above.

3. The Story of Rephidim Reminds Us of the Bride of Christ
What did Moses say to Joshua? Exodus 17:9 – “Choose men for us and go out to fight Amalek.” Likewise, from every mission today, the Bride must be forming her army. The Bride of Christ must be raised as a battalion.

4. Three Ministries to Be Established Among Us:

  1. Prayer
  2. Study of the Word
  3. Service, i.e., warfare

You must prepare yourselves for all three.

The true battle is against our flesh and its desires. Victory means destroying the lusts of the flesh by the power of the Spirit.

So,

  1. Some must remain in prayer
  2. Others must be active in service

If Moses alone were enough, why would Joshua be needed? One is not enough.
We need both Moses and Joshua. Both are essential.

Joshua means "Savior." He delivered Israel from the oppression of enemies—a warrior.
The name Jesus also means Savior. As Joshua saved the people, so did Jesus.

When Joshua first entered the land of Canaan, he saw an angel standing before him.
Joshua asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” The angel replied, “I am the commander of the army of the Lord.” Joshua then bowed in worship. That’s how he gained victory over the Amalekites.

We need Joshua-like people to rise now—those who will offer themselves completely.
Ask yourself: Do you want to do the work of Moses or the work of Joshua? Those who surrender fully can do either.

Pray: “Lord, I surrender myself completely. In which class do You want me—in Moses’ or Joshua’s? Lead me.” The Joshua class is about killing the evil within people. We have not yet come near to Moses. This is a calling deep spiritual maturity

The Bride of Christ:

  1. Never ceases to pray
  2. Never ceases to serve

But we have not yet reached that mark. Though we have prayer and service, we must carry out both with complete surrender.

6. Moses had a rod in his hand—through that, he performed wonders.
That rod of Moses, through which miracles were done, was the same rod that was in the hand of God. Moses was in God’s hand. Thus, that rod became the rod of God.

All of you in this fellowship are like rods in God’s hand—like Moses. Only then can you perform wonders.

Blessing: So may you, like Moses, become rods in His hand, and perform great wonders.
May the Bridegroom grant you this grace during these 40 days of meditation. Amen.

Story of Hagar , Genesis 16:1-12; John 8:31-38, 57-59; Galatians 4:28-31 | sermon by Father.Mungamuri Devadasu

Hagar was Sarah’s maidservant. According to Sarah’s wishes, she bore a son for Abraham. However, this led to Sarah’s anger and resentment. Eventually, following Sarah’s command, Abraham sent Hagar and her son away with a skin of water and a small amount of food. She wandered aimlessly in the wilderness of Beersheba, lost and uncertain. Overcome with grief and despair, Hagar’s eyes were clouded with sorrow. Yet, having lived in Abraham’s household, she had developed an inner perception and the ability to listen. Likewise, her physical senses remained strong. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, "God has heard the cry of the child; do not be afraid." Hagar’s Condition: She was cast out from Abraham’s household. She was wandering alone. She had no water in the wilderness. Amid these hardships, she was on the verge of death. Hagar’s story teaches us that "God’s help comes to us in our greatest distress." She was in deep despair, lost and withou...

Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord.

Sermon : "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." Ezekiel 17:24; John 14:14; Romans 4:21 Beloved ones who have many needs—may you be filled with satisfaction and peace! The theme of today’s sermon is: "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." To illustrate this, I present two sides before you: the right side with one stack, and the left side with another. Before we begin the sermon, let me say this—there are 66 books in the Bible, but I will highlight only four of them: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Although written by four different people, all four books focus on one story—the life of Jesus Christ . It is not four different accounts, but one united message. Now, the truth I want to emphasize is this: every person in the world has some needs —things they have not yet received, experienced, or possessed. Among these needs: 1. The First Need: "I want to see God." This desire was not present in...
