Sermon on Job 42:2 | by Father.Mungamuri Devadasu

I know that thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholden from thee." — Job 42:2

Explanation:

Teaches that no matter how impossible a situation may seem, God is fully capable of accomplishing His will. This truth is a great encouragement to those who pray, reminding them never to lose heart. This verse contains two key declarations: (1) God can do all things, and (2) Whatever He intends to do will never fail.

Who is capable of doing all things? It is none other than the Creator, who made the heavens and the earth and everything in them. If He has created all things, He is certainly able to accomplish everything that is yet to be done until the end of time. Some may ask, “If God can do all things, can He commit sin?” The answer is no. Creating the heavens and the earth is an act of power, but sin is an act of weakness. Since God is all-powerful, He does not and cannot engage in anything that demonstrates weakness. If He were to sin, it would imply a lack of power, which contradicts His nature. Thus, while God is omnipotent, His power is always exercised in righteousness and perfection.

Some people ask, “Can God change Satan? Can He transform those who are condemned to hell?” The answer lies in the fact that God has given every being free will. Because of this, He does not force anyone to change against their will. If He were to do so, it would mean taking away the very free will He granted them, which would be unjust—and injustice itself is sin, which God cannot commit. However, if a person sincerely asks God to change their heart, He has the power to transform them. When we say God can do all things, it means He can only do good and just things—He can remove burdens, provide what is needed, and create new things. This is the true meaning of His omnipotence.

If free will were removed, what would happen? Just as a vine without a stem will collapse, without free will, all good qualities in a person would vanish, reducing them to nothingness.

Furthermore, whatever God intends cannot be thwarted. Consider what He has purposed: (1) He intended to create the heavens, the earth, angels, and mankind. This has been fulfilled without any hindrance. (2) After creation, He continues to create new things every day, which we can witness even now. (3) When mankind fell into sin, He purposed to establish a plan of salvation. Despite obstacles, this has also been fulfilled. (4) God has decreed judgment for sin, and this too is unfolding as He intended. Ultimately, everything God has planned will come to pass.

If the consequences of sin are evident, and someone asks God to remove them, He is fully capable of doing so. Therefore, believers should pray persistently and with faith, knowing that no prayer offered in true faith will ever be in vain. This truth is a great source of encouragement!

Story of Hagar , Genesis 16:1-12; John 8:31-38, 57-59; Galatians 4:28-31 | sermon by Father.Mungamuri Devadasu

Hagar was Sarah’s maidservant. According to Sarah’s wishes, she bore a son for Abraham. However, this led to Sarah’s anger and resentment. Eventually, following Sarah’s command, Abraham sent Hagar and her son away with a skin of water and a small amount of food. She wandered aimlessly in the wilderness of Beersheba, lost and uncertain. Overcome with grief and despair, Hagar’s eyes were clouded with sorrow. Yet, having lived in Abraham’s household, she had developed an inner perception and the ability to listen. Likewise, her physical senses remained strong. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, "God has heard the cry of the child; do not be afraid." Hagar’s Condition: She was cast out from Abraham’s household. She was wandering alone. She had no water in the wilderness. Amid these hardships, she was on the verge of death. Hagar’s story teaches us that "God’s help comes to us in our greatest distress." She was in deep despair, lost and withou...

Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord.

Sermon : "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." Ezekiel 17:24; John 14:14; Romans 4:21 Beloved ones who have many needs—may you be filled with satisfaction and peace! The theme of today’s sermon is: "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." To illustrate this, I present two sides before you: the right side with one stack, and the left side with another. Before we begin the sermon, let me say this—there are 66 books in the Bible, but I will highlight only four of them: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Although written by four different people, all four books focus on one story—the life of Jesus Christ . It is not four different accounts, but one united message. Now, the truth I want to emphasize is this: every person in the world has some needs —things they have not yet received, experienced, or possessed. Among these needs: 1. The First Need: "I want to see God." This desire was not present in...
