"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." — John 6:37
Beloved
in the Lord, may blessings be upon you!
Explanation: This is
a powerful verse that serves as a great assurance for anyone who wishes to
enter into the presence of God. Whoever you are, and whenever you come, you can
approach without hesitation. A sinner, a great sinner, an unrepentant sinner, a
sinner who feels unable to let go of their sins, a sinner who knows right from
wrong but struggles to live accordingly—no matter what kind of sinner you are,
you can boldly enter into God's presence. The door of grace is always open for
everyone. As the hymn says, "Just as I am, I come to you," you
can come even if you feel unprepared.
A guilty person
may hesitate to approach a friend they have wronged or fear facing authorities,
but even such a sinner can come into God's presence. If humans, heavenly
beings, or angels question how you dare to approach God in your wretched state,
you can point to this verse with confidence. Cover your eyes and mouth with one
hand, and with the other, point to this promise as you step into His presence.
After all, if God Himself invites you, who can stand in your way?
This
verse does not exclude anyone. It says, "Come to Me, all you who labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). That
invitation is for everyone. But this verse (John 6:37) is even more specific—it
assures that no one who comes will be turned away. Some might argue that if the
call is for everyone, it doesn’t apply to them. But this promise leaves no room
for excuses. It doesn’t specify who can come and who cannot. There is no
condition or exclusion. Therefore, no one can claim they are unworthy to
approach God’s presence
