Prayer with Perseverance | sermon by Father. Mungamuri Devadasu | Bible Mission

"Will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night?" Luke 18:7

Dear readers, can any task be accomplished without persistence? No, it cannot. That’s why you must not only bring your desires and requests before God in prayer, but also believe with deep conviction that your prayers will be answered. Have unwavering faith and perseverance—then your petitions will surely be fulfilled.

Consider this: how difficult it would be for a lion to become an ant! How impossible! And yet, if such a transformation were to truly happen, it would be nothing short of a miracle. In the same way, how great and impossible it seems for God to become man! Yet, to be with us, to accomplish all things concerning us, to be seen among us, to speak with us—He made that impossible thing possible. He became man. Just as we give names to one another, He too took a name that anyone could call upon—Jesus. For our sake, He taught, suffered, gave His life, conquered evil, defeated death, and ascended to heaven. If this God-man has done such a great and mighty work, what is it that He will not do for us? What request will He ignore? What desire will He leave unfulfilled?

There is only one unique event in all of history where God became man for the sake of mankind—keep this truth deep in your heart and ask boldly, with joy, for whatever you desire. Since He became a man, He is willing to hear our requests. And because He is God, He has the power to fulfill them. If someone is willing but lacks the power, they cannot fulfill your request. If someone has the power but lacks the willingness, they will not fulfill your request. But the Lord Jesus Christ has both the desire and the power—therefore, He will surely fulfill all your requests. So, dear readers—no matter what your background, religion, or how great a sinner you may be; no matter how sick, how poor, or how ignorant you are; no matter how entangled in problems—you can trust in the Lord Christ, worship Him daily, and pour out your petitions before Him. Even if you feel like you don’t yet have full faith—just pray and see! Once you begin to trust Christ, if you turn again to any other god or source for help, your desires will not be fulfilled.

And what should your desires be? Forgiveness of sins, healing from sickness, deliverance from troubles and difficulties; faith, joy, courage, peace of mind, wisdom, truthful living, freedom from sin, the ability to serve God and teach others about Him, salvation, and even a peaceful death. Besides these, you can also ask Him daily for whatever you need, and He will provide it. He hears all prayers, from everyone, of every kind. You must understand that this brings Him joy. He may not fulfill your requests immediately—He might delay. But do not let that lead you into worry, discouragement, fear, doubt, weariness, or despair. Don’t start thinking, “Maybe God doesn't want to grant my request.” All such thoughts are like evil spirits. Don’t let those “demons” enter your heart. Just as you would never let snakes or scorpions into your home, don’t let these harmful thoughts into your mind. And if they do come, resist and drive them out immediately. The more you practice casting them out, the stronger your perseverance will become The first kind of perseverance is the one that comes through prayer—the strength to receive good things. The second kind is the perseverance needed to let go of unnecessary things. You must possess both.

If you pray and still do not receive what you asked for, there is a way to strengthen your perseverance: set aside an entire day for fasting prayer in a quiet place. Then, you will gain spiritual perseverance. Some may ask, “I don’t find time, place, or opportunity to pray. What can I do?” But think—there’s always time to drink water, to eat food, to sit and rest, to sleep. What answer can we give to those who say they have no time to pray?

Whatever is hindering your prayer life, whether it’s laziness or distractions, remove it—it is a burden to your spiritual life. Bring all your burdens before Christ the Lord in prayer, and your inner heaviness will disappear. Simply believing that He hears your prayer will become your joy—and this joy will lead to results.

Listen to a parable spoken by the Lord Jesus: There was a widow whose husband had died. She kept going persistently to a judge and pleading, “Please give me justice for my trouble.” Though the judge ignored her many times, she did not give up. She kept returning and kept pleading, until finally the judge responded and resolved her case.

Dear readers! Did you hear that? Did you see the great perseverance that woman had? If you too have that kind of perseverance, Christ the Lord will surely resolve your troubles.

He Himself said, “Pray!” So if you pray, why would He not listen? Don’t believe it if anyone says, “He will not hear you”—not even your own conscience! Believe what He has said. Then you will be truly blessed. It was to encourage us to pray with determination that Jesus shared this parable. May God be with you always and bless you continually!

Story of Hagar , Genesis 16:1-12; John 8:31-38, 57-59; Galatians 4:28-31 | sermon by Father.Mungamuri Devadasu

Hagar was Sarah’s maidservant. According to Sarah’s wishes, she bore a son for Abraham. However, this led to Sarah’s anger and resentment. Eventually, following Sarah’s command, Abraham sent Hagar and her son away with a skin of water and a small amount of food. She wandered aimlessly in the wilderness of Beersheba, lost and uncertain. Overcome with grief and despair, Hagar’s eyes were clouded with sorrow. Yet, having lived in Abraham’s household, she had developed an inner perception and the ability to listen. Likewise, her physical senses remained strong. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, "God has heard the cry of the child; do not be afraid." Hagar’s Condition: She was cast out from Abraham’s household. She was wandering alone. She had no water in the wilderness. Amid these hardships, she was on the verge of death. Hagar’s story teaches us that "God’s help comes to us in our greatest distress." She was in deep despair, lost and withou...

Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord.

Sermon : "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." Ezekiel 17:24; John 14:14; Romans 4:21 Beloved ones who have many needs—may you be filled with satisfaction and peace! The theme of today’s sermon is: "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." To illustrate this, I present two sides before you: the right side with one stack, and the left side with another. Before we begin the sermon, let me say this—there are 66 books in the Bible, but I will highlight only four of them: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Although written by four different people, all four books focus on one story—the life of Jesus Christ . It is not four different accounts, but one united message. Now, the truth I want to emphasize is this: every person in the world has some needs —things they have not yet received, experienced, or possessed. Among these needs: 1. The First Need: "I want to see God." This desire was not present in...
