Characteristics of Faithful Prayer | sermon by Father. Mungamuri Devadasu | Bible Mission

Faith-filled prayer grants eternal life – A person who prays with faith receives everlasting life (Psalm 1:2-3).

  1. Faith-filled prayer brings fruitfulness – It leads to success and fulfillment in life, Psalm 2:8.
  2. Faith-filled prayer is like a ship leading to the divine – Just as Noah’s ark led to salvation, prayer guides us to God (Genesis 6:9, 14).
  3. Faith-filled prayer strengthens more than milk and honey – Just as Daniel remained strong through his faith, prayer provides divine strength (Daniel 1:8-21).
  4. Faith-filled prayer makes one a true friend of Christ – Abraham’s prayer showed his deep relationship with God (Genesis 18:16-33).
  5. Faith-filled prayer cultivates humility – Like Stephen, a praying heart remains humble and steadfast even in suffering (Acts 7:57-60).
  6. Faith-filled prayer receives definite answers – God's promises are fulfilled for those who pray with faith (Genesis 18:9-10).
  7. Faith-filled prayer is stronger than all worldly powers – Peter's prayers brought the dead back to life (Acts 9:40-41).
  8. Faith-filled prayer amazes and terrifies world leaders – It demonstrates God's power in ways that leave authorities in awe (Acts 5:19,24).

10.   Faith-filled prayer brings salvation – Those who call on the Lord in faith will be saved (Romans 10:13).

11.    Faith-filled prayer brings joy in suffering – Even in pain, prayer fills the heart with peace and rejoicing (Acts 16:23-25).

12.   Faith-filled prayer grants authority to correct worldly leaders – God's servants, through prayer, have confronted kings and rulers (Mark 6:17; 1 Kings 21:17-24; 2 Kings 1:15-16).

13.   Faith-filled prayer empowers one to stand against nations – Elijah’s bold prayer brought fire from heaven (1 Kings 18:36-39).

14.   Faith-filled prayer provides in times of famine – God sustained a widow through prayer and obedience (1 Kings 17:15-16).

15.   Faith-filled prayer leads to true repentance – Peter wept bitterly after realizing his denial of Christ (Luke 22:60-62).

16.   Faith-filled prayer is a powerful defense against worldly trials – Joseph overcame temptation through his unwavering trust in God (Genesis 39:1-10).

17.    Faith-filled prayer leads God’s people to divine encounters – Cornelius’ prayer guided him to Peter and opened the way for salvation (Acts 10:17-33).

18.   Faith-filled prayer wins favor from people, rulers, and God – Like Jesus, we can grow in wisdom, stature, and favor (Luke 2:52).

19.   Faith-filled prayer is a strong weapon for spiritual battles – Daniel and his friends stood firm in faith against persecution (Daniel 3:10-18).

20.  Faith-filled prayer is the ladder to heaven – Prayer connects us to God’s throne and divine presence (Revelation 4:1-3).

  1. Faith-filled prayer is the foundation for turning away from sin – True prayer leads to purity and holiness, delivering people from grave sins like murder and idolatry (Daniel 3:28-29).
  2. The Lord’s Prayer is the royal path to heaven – Jesus taught us the perfect model of prayer to approach God (Matthew 6:9-14).
  3. Satan roams where believers pray – Just as Satan wandered around Job, he actively seeks to challenge those who pray in faith (Job 1:7).
  4. A prayer less heart is a dwelling place for evil – Without prayer, the heart becomes a den of lions and serpents, making transformation difficult (1 Kings 21:7-16).

In these last days, faith-filled prayer is more essential than ever. It is the weapon that:
Protects us in every situation. Guides us through trials and uncertainties.  Strengthens our faith and prepares us for Christ’s return. Every believer should practice faith-filled prayer daily, ensuring that they experience these characteristics in their personal walk with God. Let us embrace this powerful gift and prepare ourselves as faithful servants, ready for the coming of our Bridegroom, Jesus Christ! Amen!

Story of Hagar , Genesis 16:1-12; John 8:31-38, 57-59; Galatians 4:28-31 | sermon by Father.Mungamuri Devadasu

Hagar was Sarah’s maidservant. According to Sarah’s wishes, she bore a son for Abraham. However, this led to Sarah’s anger and resentment. Eventually, following Sarah’s command, Abraham sent Hagar and her son away with a skin of water and a small amount of food. She wandered aimlessly in the wilderness of Beersheba, lost and uncertain. Overcome with grief and despair, Hagar’s eyes were clouded with sorrow. Yet, having lived in Abraham’s household, she had developed an inner perception and the ability to listen. Likewise, her physical senses remained strong. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, "God has heard the cry of the child; do not be afraid." Hagar’s Condition: She was cast out from Abraham’s household. She was wandering alone. She had no water in the wilderness. Amid these hardships, she was on the verge of death. Hagar’s story teaches us that "God’s help comes to us in our greatest distress." She was in deep despair, lost and withou...

Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord.

Sermon : "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." Ezekiel 17:24; John 14:14; Romans 4:21 Beloved ones who have many needs—may you be filled with satisfaction and peace! The theme of today’s sermon is: "Those who have needs, and the One who fulfills them – the Lord." To illustrate this, I present two sides before you: the right side with one stack, and the left side with another. Before we begin the sermon, let me say this—there are 66 books in the Bible, but I will highlight only four of them: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Although written by four different people, all four books focus on one story—the life of Jesus Christ . It is not four different accounts, but one united message. Now, the truth I want to emphasize is this: every person in the world has some needs —things they have not yet received, experienced, or possessed. Among these needs: 1. The First Need: "I want to see God." This desire was not present in...
